Whitney Houston Dies at 48
Whitney Houston, the iconic singer with such hits like ”I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and “I Will Always Love You,” died Saturday at age 48.
Her publicist confirmed her death but the cause is still unknown, AP report.
Houston, the queen of the music industry from the mid-1980′s to the late 1990′s, was also known for her acting in films like The Bodyguard and Waiting to Exhale.
But cocaine, marijuana and pills strained the star of her greatest treasure; her voice. After years of substance abuse, she could no longer maintain her near-perfect pitch and hit the high notes.
“The biggest devil is me. I’m either my best friend or my worst enemy,” Houston told Diane Sawyer in 2002. Story developing…
