No CommentsAshlee Simpson’s ex-boyfriend, Ryan Cabrera, is blasting recent reports that the pop queen’s dad – also father to Jessica Simpson – is the meddling type when it comes to his daughters’ relationships.
Cabrera, 25, tells CelebTV.com exclusively, “That’s all crap. It’s just a story.”
Jessica Simpson, 27, and boyfriend Tony Romo, 28, have been dogged by rumors that her dad has interfered in their seventh-month-old romance.
But Cabrera—who is managed by Ashlee and Jessica’s dad, Joe Simpson – insists: “It’s all crap. Someone random said this would be a good story.
“I mean, Joe has nothing to do with anyone’s relationships. He doesn’t care. He’s like, ‘What?’”
For his part, Romo recently dismissed rumors of Joe Simpson’s meddling in his relationship with Jessica as “laughable.”
Ashlee Simpson, 23, and Cabrera dated for a year in 2004, around the time he opened for Jessica on tour. Ashlee married Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz in May and is pregnant with their first child.
Cabrera hit the scene as a teen star with such Top 20 hits as “True” and “On The Way Down” and is currently touring with a new album, “The Moon Under Water.”
