Ashley Alexander Dupré—the call girl at the center of former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s downfall—filed a lawsuit on Monday against Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis, CelebTV.com has confirmed.
A rep for Joe Francis says, “Yes, that’s our understanding,” when asked if a lawsuit was filed against him. He had no further comment on the lawsuit.
According to court documents filed in Florida’s U.S. District Court, Dupré is suing Francis and his company, Mantra Films, for $10 million for using her “image and likeness” to promote his videos.
She claims that when she was 17 and on vacation in Miami Beach, Fla., representatives for Francis got her drunk and “induced her into exposing her breasts while being filmed.”
When Dupre was exposed as Spitzer’s call girl, Francis released the video, which he already had in-house.
A call to Dupré’s rep was not immediately returned.
