Brad Pitt tells Rolling Stone that, for him, religion seems “stifling.”
It “probably comes from growing up in a religious community. I just found it so stifling, my religion. I know it’s very comforting for other people,” the Missouri-born actor tells the January issue of Rolling Stone.
Adds Pitt: “I get enraged when people start telling other people how to live their lives. It drives me mental.”
One thing that makes the 44-year-old happy and grounded: his family.
He tells the magazine that his favorite movie to date is Mr. and Mrs. Smith, the 2005 movie in which he co-starred with Angelina Jolie. The reason, he says, “Because you know…six kids. Because I fell in love.”
The magazine will be on newsstands Dec. 12.
