Bruce Springsteen’s cousin and road manager, Lenny Sullivan, was found dead Monday in a Kansas City hotel room, not long before Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band were scheduled to take the stage.
“Lenny Sullivan, Bruce’s cousin and the assistant road manager of the E Street Band for the last 10 years, passed away today at the age of 36,” a statement on the singer’s website read.
“A warm and sensitive person, he was beloved by Bruce, the Band, the crew, and the entire Thrill Hill family.”
Kansas City police are currently investigating Sullivan’s death, but they do not believe anything to be suspicious.
The band has promised to refund all tickets from Monday night’s show. Bruce and the band are still currently scheduled to at perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert Thursday night at Madison Square Garden.
