Chris Brown may already be moving on from Rihanna, just one week after pleading not guilty to brutally beating the singer.
Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty on two felony accounts–assault and making criminal threats, stemming from the Feb. 8 incident where the rapper allegedly assaulted his girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown entered a Los Angeles courtroom around 3:30 PST, along with his mother. The R&B star reportedly seemed nervous when asked his plea and answered in a quiet voice, “not guilty.”
Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, told the judge “more discovery was needed” in the case again, although a search warrant claims Rihanna was allegedly punched, choked, and threatened to be killed by Brown.
The hearing has been set for April 29.
If convicted, Brown could faces probation or a maximum sentence of up to four years and eight months in prison.
Rihanna was not present at the hearing.
Rumor has it that Rihanna isn’t playing nice with the prosecutors involved in the Chris Brown case.
Sources tell Fox News the “Disturbia” singer “wants the whole thing” to go away, and is being uncooperative in helping the district attorney prepare the case against Brown for allegedly beating her.
Rihanna is reportedly unhappy that photos of her beaten up were leaked to the press.
But the L.A. District Attorney’s office says the singer is cooperating with authorities in any case. “We deal with her attorney who says she is a cooperating victim,” a rep tells TMZ.
Brown is due back in court April 6th to be arraigned.

Chris Brown and Rihanna were both noticeably absent from Saturday’s Kids’ Choice Awards.
The on-again off-again couple have been under monster media scrutiny ever since Brown was arrested for allegedly beating Rihanna on Feb. 8–the night before the Grammy awards.
While both Rihanna and Chris were nominated for Kids’ Choice Awards — RiRi for favorite female singer and female song and Brown for favorite male singer and favorite song categories. (Brown blogged about his awards at first, asking for his fans’ support. But in the face of a huge public backlash, he later withdrew his name for consideration.)
“For them not to be here is very sad. I was looking forward to seeing them here,” fellow performer and friend to Chris and Rihanna, Soulja Boy, told the AP from the orange carpet.
“Right now, it’s a sad situation. And it’s very touchy. I’m just …. it just shocked me when it happened,” he said, adding that Brown was doing “O.K.”
“Yeah, right now, it’s a delicate time,” Soulja Boy added.
“You know, the court date is coming up. I hope that they both get through it in a positive way.”
Brown, who has been charged with felony assault and making criminal threats, is scheduled to be arraigned April 6.
There’s been some outrage ever since a photo of a badly beaten and bruised Rihanna was leaked after she was allegedly was assaulted by her boyfriend, Chris Brown.
Now, the Los Angeles Times is reporting that a movment has emerged out of Los Angeles to pass “Rihanna’s Law”–which would prevent the release of photos and/or information exploiting the victims of crime.
The movement has gained some much needed support after the LAPD announced they would be investigating the leaking and possible sale of photos of a clearly beaten Rihanna to TMZ after the photos were used as evidence.
The website is still standing by their claim that the photos were obtained legally, however they have yet to name their source.
The proposed law declares, “if a private crime photo is distributed, the receipt of money for that act is irrelevant and does not diminish the detrimental effect such public distribution of private crime photos could have on the victim, the case itself, other victims of similar crimes, etc. Just because the person who leaked it may have done it, for example, because they were disgruntled or vindictive or even, perhaps, to help the defense, and not for money, per se, should not make it legal.”
The Rihanna/Chris Brown case has brought up numerous domestic privacy issues aside from the photo leak, including the identity of the victim, Rihanna, being released.
Currently outlets that publish crime photos/videos can not be prosecuted unless authorities can prove money was exchanged.
Bombshell! Could wild sex tapes of Rihanna and Chris Brown go public?
Over the last month, Rihanna and Chris Brown’s relationship has had more ups and downs than a roller-coaster.
After reuniting in Miami just weeks after the alleged asault incident, the couple has now reportedly decided to take another break.
A source tells E! News the Rihanna and Chris are not calling their split a formal breakup, but they are putting some distance between them.
Rihanna is currently keeping a low profile on the East Coast hanging with close friends Beyoncé and Jay-Z, while Chris Brown has been spending his time in Los Angeles working on a new album.
Some might say longtime music producer, Evan Rogers, is the man responsible for Rihanna. Back in ’03, Rogers discovered the platinum-selling artist while on vacation in her hometown of Barbados.
Now, Rogers is speaking out for the first time since the alleged incident between his protégé and Chris Brown
While stars like Oprah Winfrey, Tyra Banks and Dr. Phil have all used their stardom to reach out to Rihanna, Rogers, thinks all the media hype may be a bit confusing for the 21-year-old.
“I think that everyone has good intentions and means well, but it turns up the heat in terms of it seeming like the whole world is telling her what to do. At the end of the day, people forget that at 21, your perspective is very different. These kinds of things can happen to anyone, whether you’re a celebrity or not,” Rogers tells Entertainment Weekly.
Rogers, who also produces Christina Aguilera and Kelly Clarkson, does say Rihanna is trying to make the most of her difficult situation:
“She’s doing the best she can and this is a very difficult time that she’s going through right now and she’s going to learn a lot from it.”
As for concern that the “Disturbia” singer’s choice to reunite with Chris Brown may affect her fan-base, Roger’s seems to thinks the future lies in her music.
“The bottom line is Rihanna is a superstar and like other artists, the reception from her fans will mostly depend on how good an album she makes next time out and how great the songs are.”
“As long as all that is taken care of, she’ll be fine and everything will take care of itself. She just needs to get in [the studio] and make a great album.”
Turns out, Rihanna is just now getting started on that next album but as far as a rumored duet with Brown–just rumors Rogers says.
A fur-ocious looking Rihanna stepped out on the streets of New York City Saturday night and told the paparazzi she was doing “good.”
The “Umbrella” singer showed up at Da Silvano restaurant in Manhattan’s West Village wearing a fur zip-up, skinny jeans and her signature leather gloves.
One noticeable staple of Rihanna’s wardrobe these days? Sunglasses.
This is the second time Rihanna has made a major public appearance since she was allegedly beaten by Chris Brown.

The rumored new duet from singer Chris Brown and his girlfriend Rihanna is a done deal, the record’s producer, Polow Da Don, confirmed Thursday to People.
“My heart goes out to both Chris and Rihanna for what has happened in the past. They are both great artists to work with, and I wish them well.”
Just days after Brown was slapped with two felony charges for reportedly assaulting Rihanna last month, the two got together in the studio to record the song.
A source tells the mag that the song is “sweet and sentimental” while “expressing the challenges of a love relationship.”
Brown — who’s due back in court on April 6 for his arraignment — could face as much as four years and eight months in prison if he’s convicted.
