The girls from Sex and the City are back, and while the fashion may be flirtier than ever, the trailer for the SATC sequel still leaves us wondering what to expect for the film’s May 28th return.

Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) does let us know that while its been two years, she and the girls have experienced “things you thought would never happen in a million years.”

From glimpses of Carrie’s new and old apartments,  to Mr. Big and a desert getaway with the gals, the Sex and the City 2 trailer is leaving us wanting more!

The streets of New York City have just gotten a little bit sexier.

Filming for the Sex and the City sequel began Tuesday, and with the first photos of Carrie Bradshaw being released, it seems like the second go-around will not disappoint!

Clad in gold Christian Louboutin heels, and a white dress, Sarah Jessica Parker filmed several shots today leaving the luxurious apartment building she and Chris Noth (Big) bought in the first installment.

“She comes out as Carrie Bradshaw, puts on her sunglasses, looks around and starts walking,” a source told Us Weekly of Parker. “She looks pretty happy to be back at work.”

SJP, and her fellow SATC leading ladies–Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have all stayed mum about the sequel’s plotlines, but rumors have circulated that Big and Carrie’s relationship will have its’ ups and downs. Duh!

The Sex and the City sequel hits theaters May 28 2010.

Katie Holmes has shown the world her twinkle toes, and even performed on Broadway, but is Mrs. Tom Cruise ready to share the big-screen with some  of the fiercest four ladies around?

Rumor has it Katie has been approached by studio execs to have a role in Sex and the City 2.

“The character they want her to play is a really ballsy, high-powered company executive who tangles with Samantha,” a source tells U.K.’s The Sun.

Shooting of the flick is scheduled to begin in August with a May 2010 release date.

It wouldn’t be another Sex and the City movie if the juicy plot rumors weren’t already heating up.

Although the Sex and the City sequel isn’t hitting theaters ’til May 2010, details off the set are already being leaked.

A SATC source tells Life & Style the Big and Carrie storyline is headed for more ups and downs that last year’s hemlines. “Their marriage is going to face lots of challenges,” says the insider.

As if Big ditching Carrie and her giant gown at the alter weren’t enough, next “Big will be tempted by a younger colleague. It’s a juicy role for whoever they wind up casting.”

That is, if the real Mr. Big, actor Chris Noth, will even be in the movie. As of April 6, he hadn’t even signed on for the sequel, apparently holding out for big bucks.

And no Sex and the City installment would be complete without Samantha’s over-the-top, technicolor wardrobe. But could Sam be hit by the recession in the new SATC flick?

The source tells the mag Kim Cattrall’s character “will be her having to downsize her big-spending life after some of her investments get wiped out. You will see her having to survive on a more modest budget but still staying true to her fabulous taste.”

Not to worry — May 2010 is far enough away that we’re likely to hear plenty of baby, divorce and death rumors before then!
