Is Penn Badgley too cool for school?

The actor, who plays co-ed Dan Humphrey on Gossip Girl, admits he’s ready for a bigger challenge with his role.

“I can do this role with my eyes closed and my arms behind my back. What I’m looking for now is something challenging,” Badgley tells GQ magazine.

“I always joke with the show’s creators, ‘Anytime you want me to do drugs or contemplate suicide, I’ll do it.’”

Interestingly, Badgley turned down the nice-guy role on Gossip Girl at first.

Whether he graduates to the dark side or not, one thing is certain: Badgley, who dates co-star Blake Lively on and off-screen, is sure keeping fans interested.
