After rumors that Reese and Jake have called it quits, both their reps say they’re as together as ever.

Maggie Gyllenhaal and her longtime boyfriend, Peter Sarsgaard, finally made their romance official by tying the knot over the weekend.

A rep for the actress confirmed to People magazine that Maggie and Peter were married on May 2, at a romantic ceremony in Italy.

According to various European news reports, the nuptials took place in a small chapel in Brindisi, with Maggie’s bro Jake and his girlfriend, Reese Witherspoon, in attendance.

The couple who announced their engagement back in ’06 are also parents to daughter Ramona, 2 1/2.

Is Ms. Type A Reese Witherspoon finally ready to become Mrs. Jake Gyllenhaal?

Reese Witherspoon finally seems comfortable opening up about boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal–a romance the two kept pretty private when they initially met on the set of their 2007 drama Rendition.

The 32-year-old actress tells the April issue of Elle magazine, “He’s fabulous. He really is a fantastic guy.”

That’s not to say Reese didn’t go through her share of ups and downs after her nearly nine-year marriage to Ryan Phillippe ended in divorce in 2008.

She tells the mag her divorce was “very humiliating and very isolating. But, by the way, if it’s not painful, maybe it wasn’t the right decision to marry to begin with. Those are the appropriate emotions.”

Witherspoon, who has two children — Ava and Deacon — with Phillippe, confesses that she tries not to play the “blame game” when thinking about what went wrong:

“It’s a really easy thing to do, and I’m certainly guilty of it,” she admits.

“[You have to] look at yourself and go, ‘What part of this do I need to own? Which part of this is my responsibility? And that’s the painful work that you have to go through to hopefully get some real life knowledge out of it.”

As for being portrayed as a Type A personality, Reese doesn’t really see it.

“I don’t think I’m a control freak, I think I’m just fearful. I operate from a lot of fear, like, of things being lost or forgotten or neglected. Losing the spiritual rather than the physical.”

“It’s so funny to me that somehow I’ve been portrayed as a very, like, closed-off or uptight person,” she says. “I’m very open.”

The Oscar-winning actress will be lending her voice for the cartoon flick Monsters vs. Aliens, hitting theaters March 27.
