Turns out, Eminem is just that good of an actor.

After Sacha Baron Cohen’s alter ego, Brüno, landed face down in Eminem’s lap on Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards, viewers have been wondering whether or not the whole incident was staged, or just another one of Cohen’s shenanigans.

It appeared that Brüno was able to make the real Slim Shady stand up, after an enraged Eminem stormed out of the theater.

Head writer for the show, Scott Aukerman, has taken to his blog to set the record straight.

“Yes, the Eminem-Bruno incident was staged,” he said. “They rehearsed it at dress [rehearsal] and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show.”

Real or fake- Brüno’s behind wound up being one of the night’s most buzzed about moments.

Eminem caused quite a scene when he stormed out of the MTV Movie Awards Sunday night after Sacha Baron Cohen’s alter ego, Bruno, landed his bare bum on the rapper’s face.

While the whole debacle may just be part of Cohen’s shtick, Em wasn’t too pleased with the situation-and now DJ Travis Barker is coming to his side, saying he may have done a little bit more than just walk away.

“If i was EMENIM I would’ve swung on him….not kool. I love jokes but some dudes ass in your face is a no no 4 me,” Barker wrote on his Twitter.

Perhaps Bruno should be careful of who he rear-ends next time.

In case you missed last night’s MTV Movie Awards, Sacha Baron Cohen’s alter ego, Bruno, made a rare — and memorable — appearance.

Dressed in angel wings and a thong, Bruno made his grand entrance by flying over the celeb-filled crowd,  cracking them up.

One person who wasn’t laughing? Rapper Eminen.

Bruno, a flamboyant Austrian fashionista, landed his bare butt in Em’s face, causing the rapper to get so mad he stormed out of the theater.

When Sacha Baron Cohen decided to play a gay Austrian fashion reporter for his latest movie, Bruno, he probably didn’t realize that sometimes, beauty comes with a price.

A master of disguise, Sacha decided to bleach all of his body hair to play Bruno, but his dye job wound up leaving him in some serious pain.

A source tells U.K.’s The Sun, “He’d heard that all-over hairlessness is a popular trend in the gay community, so he thought he’d bleach all his hair so it looked invisible. But it quickly turned into a disaster.

“Shortly after having the procedure done he felt a burning sensation and it grew steadily worse.”

Turns out funnyman Sacha was suffering from an allergic reaction to hydrogen peroxide. Ouch!

The source added, “It was so severe around a certain part of his anatomy that he couldn’t sit down for three days. He had to make an emergency appointment with the doctors, who gave him some medication to counter the irritation.”

Hopefully for Sacha, manscaping pain equals movie gain. Bruno hits theaters July 10.
