On Saturday, Salma Hayek and French billionaire François – Henri Pinault, parents of 19 month old daughter Valentina, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at an opera house in Venice.
People magazine reports that the famous guest list included, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Charlize Theron, Stella McCartney, and Ashley Judd.
At the reception, the bride, who wore a Balenciago gown and later changed into a knee – length fuscia dress, joined Theron and Woody Harrelson, Damien Rice and Bono on stage for a rendition of “Stand by Me.”
Theron and McCartney even sang “Don’t Cry for me Argentina” to their friend who later joined them for the rolling stones’ classic, “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction”.
Technically, this is Salma and Francois’ second time tying the knot to each other – they said ‘I do’ in February in a civil ceremony in Paris.
