Things are about to heat up on the CW’s new Melrose Place.
Heather Locklear, who played coniving ad exec, Amanda Woodward, will be reprising her role on an episode set to air Nov. 17, the CW has announced.
“We’re ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to Melrose Place,” executive producers of Melrose Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer said in the statement. “Heather’s involvement in the show is something we’ve been working on for some time as we couldn’t imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character’s inclusion.”
Locklear appeared on the original Melrose Place from its’ first season until it went off of the air in 1999.
Other Melrose alumn including Laura Leighton, Thomas Calabro, and Josie Bissett will all reportedly be making cameos this year as well.
Melrose Place Comeback
It looks like yet another ‘90s hit will get a new life on the small screen.
Melrose Place, originally a spinoff of Beverly Hills 90210, might be hitting the CW soon.
Inside sources for network tell People magazine that Mark Schwahn, creator of the CW’s One Tree Hill, is in negotiations to pen a pilot for Melrose.
“Melrose Place will shoot a pilot during the regular pilot season,” the source said.
The soapy drama–which originally aired from ’92-’99–featured stars such as Heather Locklear, Marcia Cross, and Andrew Shue living it up in a California apartment complex.
No word yet on which cast members, if any, will be returning to Melrose Place.
Heather Locklear “Over That Hump” After Rehab

Heather Locklear is feeling great only months after she was treated in a clinic for depression and anxiety.
The Melrose Place star was charged with a DUI in September, directly following her stint in rehab.
Locklear told Jay Leno on Wednesday that she’s doing OK after a “rough” year.
“I’ve been better, but I’m good today. I’m over that hump, and here I am.”
When asked by Leno what she would have done differently in 2008, she joked, “I would have stayed in my house!”
But, the 47-year-old added, “You know what, I wouldn’t have done anything differently because, here I am today, happy and healthy — and lessons are to learn.”
