HIS SON JEFF DUNN TELLS CNN HIS FATHER DIED IN HIS SLEEP IN TOKYO AFTER PERFORMING CONCERTS THERE THAT HAD BEEN POSTPONED AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE IN 2011.
“They were over there doing five shows in a row, two shows every night -- and for a 70-year-old guy, that was quite a bit of work," HE SAID. “He had gone back to his hotel after their last show and died before catching a flight back to the United States.”
DUNN WAS ALSO KNOWN FOR THE MEGA HITS, “SITTIN ON THE DOCK OF THE BAY, IN THE MIDNIGHT HOUR AND SOUL MAN.
IN A STATEMENT, DAN AYKROYD SAID DUNN “will remain universally loved by all that knew him. His talent, knowledge and warmth, and especially his humor will be greatly missed.”
BESIDES HIS SON JEFF, DONALD DUCK DUNN IS SURVIVED HIS WIFE JUNE AND A GRANDSON.

Sad news out of the music world- Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys has passed away.
According to Russell Simmons website- GlobalGrind- the 47 year old died after a long battle with cancer.
Yauch- who went by MCA – went public with being treated for a cancerous parotid gland and a lymph node in 2009 and his surgery and radiation treatment. therapy.
The Grammy award winner along with Mike D, Mix Master Mike and Ad Roc founded the legendary band back in 1979.
Our thoughts are with his bandmates, wife and daughter.
