ALICIA SILVERSTONE LEAVES “MOTHER” DUE TO SPEARS

Alicia Silverstone has dropped out of her guest-starring role on the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother," according to Pink Is the New Blog.
Silverstone apparently bowed out due to worries that she would be overshadowed by Britney Spears' appearance.
Silverstone was set to play Ted's dermatologist/lover in a multiple-episode stint. Instead, she will be replaced by "Scrubs" star Sarah Chalke and the guest role could be reduced to one show.
