“American Idol” Ruben Studdard Gets Married

American Idol‘s Velvet Teddy Bear walked down the aisle Saturday to marry his sweetheart, Surata Zuri McCants.
Ruben Studdard, who is known for his big frame and deep voice, wore a black tuxedo with a white bow tie in the 30-minute ceremony in Birmingham, Alabama. His bride wore a white and ivory wedding gown.
The ceremony included an exchange of vows, prayers and music provided by a string ensemble. The Idol winner did not sing.
The 29-year-old-singer has an album that drops later this year. The couple will live in Alabama.
