Amy Winehouse Remains Hospitalized, Does Not Have TB
June 20, 2008
Amy Winehouse has been diagnosed with a chest infection after undergoing tests at a London clinic this week.
But there is some good news for the troubled singer—she is not suffering from tuberculosis, as some reports claimed.
“Amy does have a chest infection and does not have TB, as is being reported,” the singer’s rep, Tracey Miller, told CelebTV.com on Friday.
Winehouse 24, fainted at her London home on Monday and was rushed to the hospital by her father, Mitch.
She has two shows scheduled for next week – including a performance at Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday celebration on June 27 – but it’s not yet clear whether she will make those dates.
“The decision will be made entirely on the advice of her doctors and in her best interests,” Miller tells CelebTV.com.
