BEYONCE AND JAY-Z TO MARRY “ONE DAY SOON”
September 07, 2007 Beyonce, 26, and Jay-Z, 37, want to get married -- but not just yet. According to Jay-Z himself, the couple of more than four years will soon tie the knot.
"One day soon -- let's leave it at that," the usually tight-lipped rapper told reporters Thursday at a press conference in Las Vegas, where he announced plans to open his third 40/40 Club at the luxury Palazzo Hotel.
Will they close the deal in Sin City?
"I don't know," he said. "It's kind of comfortable here. If [Palazzo President] Rob Goldstein throws in the ring, who knows? Las Vegas is like no other place in the world."
Jay-Z will have a new $20 million, 24,000-square-foot club -- slated to open December 20 -- with 24-karat gold and platinum floors, 85 plasma TVs and five VIP rooms, according to Us Magazine.
For her part, Beyonce is in no rush to have kids. In the June issue of France's Questions de Femmes magazine she says: "Yes, [I want kids] in 10 years! For the moment, there are still so many things I need to accomplish."
The sultry singer has been very relaxed about an impending wedding. She told InStyle in January, "You can't rush a man into anything -- whether it's a relationship, marriage or having children. When he's ready, he'll let you know."
It appears she knows how to work her man."
