Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are living proof that the family that plays together, stays together.
Continuing to dispel rumors of trouble in paradise, the photogenic pair stepped out for a cozy dinner on Saturday in Chicago and also spent some quality time with the kids this weekend in the Windy City, where Jolie is filming the thriller "Wanted."
On Saturday, Brad, Angelina and their four kids visited Chicago's Field Museum after the normal 5:00 p.m. closing time for a private tour of the dinosaur exhibit and other attractions. The whole crew spent an hour and a half at the museum before hitting the Rock & Roll McDonald's drive-thru in their chauffeured SUV.
After getting the little ones settled back at the Peninsula hotel where they're staying, Brad and Angelina enjoyed a grown-up dinner at Japonais, a trendy French-Asian fusion restaurant. (Coincidentally, Chicago native Vince Vaughn wined and dined his former girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, at the same restaurant two years ago.)
A dressed-down Brad, wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and a tweed cap, and a polished-looked Angelina, clad in a black skirt and sweater with nude pumps, joined her "Wanted" co-star, the Chicago-born rapper Common, for dinner and drinks at Japonais.
The cozy-looking couple left the restaurant hand-in-hand, with Brad ushering his leading lady into their awaiting SUV.
On Sunday, the Jolie-Pitt clan mostly kept a low profile, although hands-on mom Angelina did step out at around 2:00 p.m. with a freshly shorn Maddox, who's once again sporting his signature Mohawk.
Mother and son made the trip a few blocks north of their hotel to Border's, where they browsed for about a half-hour and picked up two bags full of books. The cheerful pair left the bookstore holding hands, to be greeted by a hundred or so Jolie fans cheering and shouting, "We love you, Angie!" Clearly, Brad Pitt shares the sentiment.
