BRITNEY’S ALBUM TO DROP EARLY
October 10, 2007 After a number of tracks from Britney Spears' upcoming album were leaked on the Web, the pop star's record label has decided to release the record early.
According to a statement from Jive Records to CelebTV.com, Spears' latest album will now be released Oct. 30, instead of Nov. 13.
"Recently, songs from Britney's Spears' forthcoming album, along with unfinished material and demos represented as completed, legitimate songs, were leaked on-line," the Jive statement reads.
Adds a spokesperson: "[D]ue to these numerous unauthorized on-line leaks, the label is doing everything possible to prevent and avoid any further illegal distribution of songs including moving up the release date of the album to October 30th. "
