BRITNEY’S ATTORNEYS KEPT TABS ON HER THROUGH MEDIA REPORTS MONDAY

Britney Spears arrived at L.A. Superior Courthouse just after 1:00 p.m. PST on Monday, riding in a black Escalade.
The pop star was conspicuously absent for the start of her latest custody hearing, although ex-husband Kevin Federline arrived a half hour before the 9:30 a.m. start time.
It was anyone's guess as to whether Spears would show on Monday.
In fact, CelebTV.com has learned that Spears' lawyers didn't even know whether the pop star would make an appearance and relied on media reports--including TV footage of Spears leaving her house--to keep tabs on their client.
