CELEBTV.COM EXCLUSIVE: ANNA NICOLE’S DOC IS HOWARD’S DOGSITTER
October 12, 2007 CelebTV.com has exclusively learned why Anna Nicole Smith's attorney and companion, Howard K. Stern, was present Friday morning when the home of a psychiatrist who had prescribed drugs to Smith was raided.
On the morning of Oct. 12, investigators with the California Department of Justice began searching the home and offices of Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, a psychiatrist who prescribed a host of medications for Anna Nicole Smith in the weeks and months leading up to her death from an accidental overdose.
Eroshevich could not be reached for comment, but sources tell CelebTV.com contributor Art Harris that Anna Nicole Smith estate executor Howard K. Stern was staying at the doctor's Studio City home when investigators arrived.
In an exclusive interview with Harris, Stern's attorney Lin Wood reveals that the doctor was dogsitting for Stern. He "left his dogs (including Sugar Pie) under the care of Dr. Eroshevich" while he was in New York for the Larry King Show, and arrived back in Los Angeles at 3 a.m. Friday. "That is why he was at her home when the search warrants were executed," said Wood. "He got in very late and stayed at the doctor's house."
The Medical Board of California said in April it was investigating Eroshevich, who, according to documents, authorized all 11 prescription medications found in Smith's hotel room the day she died.
The former Playboy Playmate died of an accidental drug overdose in February at a Florida hotel. She was 39.
Several people close to the model have fallen under suspicion since her death, including Eroshevich and another California doctor who authorized a prescription for methadone.
