CELEBTV.COM EXCLUSIVE: BRIT & K-FED’S FINANCES REVEALED
November 01, 2007 Court documents first obtained by CelebTV.com spell out financial details in the bitter split between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline -- and show Federline to be a less-than-savvy businessman.
An income and expense declaration -- filed by Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, on January 24 but just recently made available -- claims that Britney earns $1 million a month, while Federline is practically broke.
Federline, listed as a self-employed "Performing Artist," sought $100,000 from Britney to cover his legal costs, in addition to $20,000 in alimony per month.
Britney's ex spells out his monthly living costs, including $7,500 for rent, $2,500 for child care and $1,500 for eating out. Clothes set Federline back $2,000 a month.
As proof of his financial need, Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, included the ex-backup dancer's income from his company, Gooseneck Productions, Inc.
Although a statement of revenue from an accountant shows that Federline's business earned over $500,000 in 2006, it also shows that his net income, after expenses, is just over $7,000. His business expenses include a whopping $129, 982.98 in stage production costs and over $44,000 in meals and hotels.
For her part, Spears declared her income at over $700,000 a month -- and said she spent $16,000 a month in clothes, as well as $102,000 in entertainment, gifts and vacations.
