It's officially over for Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, according to court documents first obtained by CelebTV.com. Witherspoon and Phillippe's marriage officially ended Friday, October 5, 2007, as stated in papers signed by a judge at the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Witherspoon, 31, and Phillippe, 33, married in June 1999. After more than seven years of marriage, Witherspoon filed for divorce from Phillippe citing irreconcilable differences in November 2006.
The couple met two years prior to making the 1999 movie Cruel Intentions, when a mutual friend brought Phillippe to Witherspoon's 21st birthday party. They have two children together, Ava Elizabeth, 8, and Deacon, 3.
Witherspoon, who won an Oscar for her role in Walk the Line, appears in the new movie Rendition out in theaters October 19. Phillippe most recently starred in the 2007 drama Breach.
