Denise Richards: Charlie Decided to Take Me to Court

Once again, Denise Richards is not keeping mum about her ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.
The actress, who has two children with Sheen – Sam, 4, and Lola, 3– called Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Friday morning to say her ex had “taken her to court.”
“I am actually sitting in the parking lot at the courthouse,” she reported to Seacrest.
“Again… umm I’m sure everyone will hear about it and read about it later but uh… he decided to take me to court this morning so… I am sitting in the parking lot. And I will go in after our interview.”
Added Richards of her public throwdown with Sheen: “This is ugly and embarrassing, humiliating; it’s not healthy for our kids. So, I am, you know...that’s the goal. I hope that we can resolve everything. It is very sad for our children. This is not good.”
In a statement released through his publicist Wednesday, Sheen said his children had recently missed a scheduled visit with him, with no explanation from Richards.
“[F]or the record, my children did not show up today for a custodial visit without explanation,” Sheen said.
As for Friday’s emergency custody hearing, a rep for Richards told CelebTV that the former Bond girl was “very pleased with the results” but would not elaborate.
The rep added that Richards rearranged the shooting schedule for her new reality show, Denise Richards: It’s Complicated, in order to attend the hearing. Sheen was not legally required to attend and opted not to go.
