DOCTORS CLEARED IN LEDGER INVESTIGATION
February 29, 2008
Federal drug authorities have ruled out two doctors from Houston and Los Angeles as the sources of the prescription drugs found in the bloodstream of the late Heath Ledger according to the New York Post.
A Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) official, Rogene Waite, confirmed to CelebTV.com on Thursday an active investigation was underway.
The DEA questioned the doctors, who had prescribed some of Ledger's medication, but determined they had not prescribed him OxyContin and Vicodin, the two most powerful drugs that lead to his death.
Ledger, 28, was found dead in his SoHo apartment on Jan. 22 from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.
