Dustin Hoffman: Angelina Jolie Was a “Shy, Awkward” Teen

Although she may be the fiercest pregnant woman on the planet, Angelina Jolie was just a shy, gawky teen when Dustin Hoffman met the future superstar.
Jolie tagged along with her dad, Jon Voigt, to the set of Hook in 1991, where she met Dustin Hoffman—who recalls chatting with a skinny, wide-eyed girl.
“I meet this slender, awkward, shy girl with a mouth full of braces and I ask what she wants to be,” Hoffman tells FoxNews.com.
“She says ‘I am going to be an actress’ with this laser-like intensity, and we talked about it.”
Jolie, who co-stars with Hoffman in the upcoming animated movie Kung Fu Panda, is now also a powerhouse mother of four—with twins on the way with partner Brad Pitt.
“It’s so interesting now, what the media creates is not the person she is,” says. “She is just a pregnant lady who is nice.”
