GARY COLLINS IS OUT OF JAIL
January 18, 2008
CelebTV.com confirmed that Gary Collins is free. The former talk-show host has been released after serving his sentence.
"He did the full 96 hours," said Officer John Balian to CelebTV.com.
Collins was at the Glendale, Calif. City Jail. He elected to join the "Pay to Stay" program at Glendale instead of staying at the rougher L.A. County Jail.
Kiefer Sutherland is currently at the Glendale Jail and will be released on Monday.
"[Collins] did not have any duties because he was here on the 'Pay to Stay' program, not like Mr. Sutherland who was sentenced here as an inmate worker," said Officer Balian. "[In this program] you are not forced to do anything, you just serve your time."
Collins pleaded no contest to DUI charges last month, and in addition to jail time, was sentenced to four years of probation.
Kiefer Sutherland is currently at the Glendale Facility and will be released on Monday.
