Hulk Hogan’s Son Gets Eight Months in Jail for Crash
May 09, 2008
Wrestler Hulk Hogan’s 17-year-old son, Nick Bollea, will serve eight months in jail and five years probation after he entered a plea of no contest in a Florida courtroom Friday on charges of felony reckless driving. The judge ordered him to begin his sentence in Pinellas Count Jail immediately.
Bollea was in a high-speed crash in Clearwater on August 26, 2007. His friend and passenger, John Graziano, was—and remains—critically injured.
As part of the plea agreement, a judge ordered Bollea to serve five years probation and eight months in jail, 500 hours of community service and one full day doing “some positive framework” every month.
The reality star’s attorneys asked that the teenager not serve more than one year in county jail and five years of probation.
Without the plea arrangement, Bollea could have faced up to five years in state prison.
The courtroom proceedings were streamed live on TMZ. Hulk Hogan and his estranged wife Linda were present, along with Nick’s sister, Brooke.
