JAMIE LYNN SPEARS BACK ON TV
January 28, 2008
Although she's been keeping a low profile, Jamie Lynn Spears is back on TV.
A fourth season of the tween show "Zoey 101," starring the 16-year-old sister of Britney Spears, will air after all, Nickelodeon spokeswoman Marianne Romano announced Monday.
"The new season is under way," Romano said. "It premiered last night."
The show finished airing its third season last month, just before Jamie Lynn announced she was pregnant with her teenage boyfriend Casey Aldridge's child.
The show, which focuses on life at a fictional California boarding school, faced an uncertain future in the wake of the controversial news.
But Jamie-Lynn's character is already back at boarding school on the small screen. Filming of the show's fourth season, which was planned to be its last even before Spears became pregnant, was completed last summer.
As for Jamie-Lynn herself, "She is on hiatus," her publicist, Holly Shakoor, said Monday.
