PARENTING COACH CALLS BRIT’S HOUSE “CHAOTIC”
October 30, 2007 CelebTV.com is the first to obtain detailed court papers from Friday's hearing in the ongoing custody battle between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.
A Tuesday ruling from L.A. Court Commissioner Scott Gordon includes summarized testimony from Spears' court-appointed parenting coach, Lisa Hacker.
According to the documents, Hacker testified at length on Friday, telling the court Spears missed three initial appointments with her.
She also testified, as summarized in the minute order, that while Spears "loves her children," the singer's "interactions with the children are not child-centered. Ms. Hacker was also concerned that the Petitioner [Spears] did not fully engage with the children when she interacted with them."
Hacker also indicated "[t]he environment in the house ranged from chaotic to almost somber with little communication at all." However, she said, Spears' behavior was not "abusive in a traditional sense."
Hacker added that neither of Spears' houses were child-proofed and pointed out the importance of regular bedtimes for the two boys.
Gordon ruled that Spears must submit proof of child-proofing her homes by Nov. 2 and must also continue to be drug tested twice a week for the next 60 days.
Spears' did not get the expanded visitation she sought as a result of Friday's hearing. The singer will now get two daytime visits and one overnight per week with her kids, all supervised.
