SPEARS CAUSES CONTROVERSY WITH RELIGIOUS LEADERS
October 30, 2007
Britney Spears has the Catholic League up in arms with the racy artwork on her newest CD, Blackout.
The pop princess' photos, which show her perched atop a handsome priest in a confessional, have religious leaders speaking out.
"This is all the puzzle pieces coming together. This girl is crashing," Bill Donahue, president of the Catholic League told the Daily News. "She's not even allowed to bring up her own kids because she's not responsible enough. Now we see she can't even entertain."
The photos, featured inside the jacket of her new album , vary from her sitting on a priest's lap to Spears showing some leg in a confessional booth.
The new album is available in stores Tuesday.
