On friday, more of rihanna’s interview will air on 20/20 – the same day chris brown’s interview airs on an mtv special, where he reportedly tells mtv news…
“my thoughts is like, ‘why did it happen?’, like ‘what was i thinking?’, ‘what is wrong with you?’,”…and…“my thoughts basically now is just, ‘ok, how do we get past it?’”
One thing he’s doing to try and “get past it” is launch a comeback “fan appreciation” tour…except it doesn’t look like there are too many fans who appreciate him.
Brown’s gigs, which are set to start next week at the house of blues in houston and wrap up in new york in mid-december, aren’t even close to selling out.
An industry insider tells the new york daily news, “chris lost a lot of fans after he assaulted rihanna…chris made his own bed. And now he has to lie in it.”
The whole thing is, by slapping these celebrities on the wrist, it is not helping anyone, not the celebrity, or anyone close to the celebrity.
They need to understand the consequences of their actions, and getting a mere slap on the wrist does not help.

I think Brown stated he came from an abusive family situation. that being said, it took time for him to learn that, and with that happening over time, it will take time to relearn how to treat women as well.
Their is no magic wand to cure a person. It takes time, effort, and understanding of the situation. That does not happen overnight.

I’m half black/white and I have been in Rihanna’s shoes more than once. Like you say Washanen07 I have seen it happen to my all of my friends growing up. But you are wrong about it being only black women. My white and hispanic friends are all baby momma’s.
