Christina Aguilera is putting her singing skills aside, and is set to give acting a whirl.
The four-time Grammy award-winning singer will be starring in the contemporary musical, Burlesque, Variety reports.
Aguilera will be playing an ambitious small-town girl, who finds musical success at a Los Angeles burlesque club.
The film, which begin shooting later this month, is the first for Christina, although she did lend her voice to movies such as Shark Tale and Moulin Rouge.
