The father of former American Idol runner-up David Archuleta has been charged with soliciting a prostitute at a massage parlor in January.
Jeffrey Archeluta, 47, pleaded no contest and paid a $582 fine after being charged at the Midvale Justice Court of Utah, according to KSTU.
After receiving tips of suspicious activity going on at Queens of Reiki massage parlor, police raided the place.
“Two of our detectives went back to that room to stop the activity,” Midvale Police Sgt. John Salazar told the station.
“Inside they found a female masseuse and male client. At that time an interview ensued and the male client admitted to receiving sexual gratification from the masseuse.”
James Jeffrey Archuleta was the male client involved, according to court documents.
“He [Archuleta] was in the wrong place at the wrong time,” Archuleta’s attorney, Erik Bauer, said. “He’s a good man and we hope this story won’t cause his family any embarrassment.”
Sounds like it’s too late for that.
