After actor David Carradine’s body was found hanging in a Bangkok hotel room, police suspected the 72-year-old may have committed suicide, but the actor’s manager doesn’t think that was the case.
“I can tell you 100 percent that he would have never committed suicide,” Carradine’s manager told People magazine.”He was too full of life.”
Police Col. Somprasong Yentuam said Carradine’s naked body was found in a sitting position with a yellow rope tied around the neck attached to a closet bar. “We believe that Mr. David committed suicide but it is suspicious,” Yentuam told the mag.
It has been reported that the Kung Fu and Kill Bill actor’s hands were tied behind his back, furthering suspicion of foul play.
Carradine, who was in Bangkok shooting a new film, Stretch, had been open about his past battles with drugs, alcohol and thoughts of suicide, his manager maintains there is no way he would have taken his own life.
“We are not saying it’s an accidental death because we don’t know,” the rep told People. “Right now we are just letting everyone know that it’s under investigation and we’ll see … I just know he didn’t do this to himself.”
