Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein was found dead Friday with a crack pipe, crack cocaine and prescription drugs near his body.
Conflicting theories about why the reformed addict relapsed after 11 years include suicide, a breakup with model girlfriend Hayley Wood and an addiction to anti-anxiety drugs.
As family, friends and fans mourn the shocking death of DJ AM, details surrounding the celebrity DJ’s last days are starting to come out.
DJ AM was supposed to have been at Rain nightclub at the Palms in Vegas Friday night—for his regular weekly gig, but on Friday, Adam Goldstein was found dead in his Manhattan apartment, with a crack pipe, crack cocaine, and prescription drugs nearby.
The celebrity deejay was open about his past drug addiction, but he had supposedly been clean for more than 11 years.
In fact, DJ AM had just filmed Gone Too Far, an MTV reality show about getting addicts off drugs. He recently told the Associated Press, “There's no better way to remember what it was like when I was at my bottom than to see someone at their bottom.”
There have been conflicting theories about why the reformed addict had relapsed. Some say DJ AM was torn up about his breakup with girlfriend, model, Hayley Wood.
Others say he had been taking Xanax and other anti-anxiety drugs to help with a fear of flying he developed after surviving a deadly plane crash last year. The recent prescriptions reportedly triggered a relapse.
Well I guess he finally wised up and realized that he was a 36 yr old wigger and that he wasted his life. He spent so much of his life trying to be black that he forgot who he was. One day all wiggers will come to this realization that they’re losers and worthless and don’t deserve to live.
I had never heard any of dj am’s music till he died and I began to research him
I found that I really like his mixing styles and that he had some really fresh, original and just DAMN GOOD beats.
I don’t think he was tyring to be a wigger with a name like Goldstein, and he seemed to be a very genuine and likeable person. I had never even heard of him and I miss him already.
I agree and I feel likes so many of these celebrities we claim to love – are actually really lonely neglected people lacking in people to actually care for them and give them good advice- instead they’re surrounded by yes men and parasites who want to cling to their success.
Like that chick who left his apartment the night he died- why didn’t she help him? why didn’t she stop him from overdosing- Ironically these celebrities people love, lack at least one person who really cares for them.
I feel the same as you. I had never heard his music before and have started to watch his work. I knew him a one of the survivors of the plane crash but this ending is really sad.. I’ve been following him since his news last Saturday.
KronicPain- Your posts described what I was thinking. I want to say thank you for leaving such good comments. I felt disgusted with reading negative comments for him. I want to say ppl who left bad comments to him if they can imagine how it’s awful having PTSD as a result of the plane crash.
Who really cares?? our military does more for ALL of our lives than this piece of work EVER contributed so, why is he more important than our national defense?. Is he more important?.
