Prior to his death in 2008, Ledger was working on fantasy film, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, where he portrayed Tony, a mysterious outcast involved in a touring theater company.
Heath was only able to complete half his role in the movie, after accidentally overdosing. His role was picked up by Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell, who all play variations of his character.

This appears to be a masterpiece by one of the most gifted film directors today…It feels like the kind of film that needs to be seen several times to get the full experience, and I hope it brings in enough box office money to allow Gilliam to make whatever he wants for the remainder of his life. Can’t Wait!!!!!!

This movie is over-hyped just because of Ledger. Don’t get me wrong, it could very well be a great movie, and it certainly looks interesting to me, but you know damn well many people are only drawn to it because it’s “Heath Ledger’s” last movie. Whoopdi freaking doo. I don’t know about you, but I judge my films on much more than simply who’s in it.

i no, =,[ its depressing because its his final film. but its exiting at the same time, when i first watched this, i had so many emotions going on at once, i was happy, then exited, then i seen him and was depressed, nearly cryed, happy again, nearly fainted over how cool depp and ledger look.. and just started again with all the emotions.. LOL and the cast are AMASING, i think this film with be a good send off for ledger. and i still cant belive wat the rest of the cast did for heath.

He was truly a brilliant actor and his memory will never flicker. I’ve been following the film since 2007 and actually seeing footage makes me so happy. Johnny, Colin, and Jude seem like they are taking on his light and comedic acting style very well. I’m very excited for this film.

ummm…. Tim Burton isn’t involved with this movie. While I agree, and love him and his work, this is by Terry Gilliam. Also an awesome director.

If you Google “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus Heath Ledger” you will find pictures of him being hung in a white suite.

OHH i heard that he was in another movie with heath, but i wasnt sure which one, i LUV the brothers grimm, and fear and loathing in las vegas.
but those are the only two iv watched, i might have even watched more of those, but somtimes i dont take notice of movie names and people in them. =/ He’s a great director! i recongnise that last one from somewhere, but im not sure where… thanks for telling me about terry, and no problem =D

it might be like someone made for the film, but thats just my random guess. i havent heard it before. it might come out on like a soundtrack or somthing when the movie is released. its cool music though ill give u that, from 0:53 it gives me goosebumps.

But in some cases, I think 3D will bring a film to a whole new light. Like, Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland will be in 3D, and I think that will make the film even better. 3D is a form of art, and with the right director it can be amazing. Don’t say it ruins films, because it’s the fault of the writer/director/visual effects supervisor.

Nope. I’ve been looking forward to this film since before Ledger’s death. “Directed by Terry Gilliam” is what drew me in. Hopefully this film will generate more awareness of Gilliam’s brilliance.

It looks like a fantastic movie. I think this is the movie that will put Terry Gilliam back on track, like his earlier days where he made “Brazil” and “Time Bandits”.
Also exiceted for his upcoming don quixote film. Let’s hope he doesn’t fail this time…

I wish they would’ve mentioned Heath starring in this film. I think most people knew it was him & that it was originally his role, but it just makes me feel like they’ve forgotten him.
I miss him. <3
Anyways, I think the actors taking Heath’s place will do a remarkable job.

I think it’s a great message, I will miss Heath Ledger, but we should all celebrate his life. My heart dropped at the line too, but at the same time it tells us not to fear death. If you’re religious or not even Newton law stats that energy never dies it is only transformed….just like the transformations of this movie.
