Exclusive: Matthew McConaughey Picks Surfing Theme for Baby

Matthew McConaughey, 38, and girlfriend Camila Alves, 24, are designing a surf-themed nursery for their baby-to-be, a source from L.A. baby boutique Petit Tresor tells CelebTV.com exclusively.

The couple has not yet announced the sex of the baby, but a source at the store tells us it’s a boy.

Petit Tresor is set to design the McConaughey baby’s room with a surfing theme including a custom-made crib with a surfboard, ocean murals on the wall, a pale blue changing table and an armoire with sea animals, along with a matching pale blue glider, our source confirms.

McConaughey, 38, also took care of his pregnant girlfriend at the store. He bought her a sexy Tuni and G tank with “Hot Mama 2 Be” emblazoned across the chest.

The actor and Alves, 24, announced the pregnancy in January.

McConaughey wrote on his blog, “We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being a mother and a father.”

McConaughey added on his blog, “Wish us the best, keep us in your prayers, and God bless evolution.”

McConaughey met Alves—a Brazilian model whose family moved to L.A. when she was young—more than a year ago. Since then, they have been together constantly—often spending time in the ocean—including time spent riding the waves last year in Australia, where he filmed Fool’s Gold with Kate Hudson, and in the Bahamas, where he shot the comedy Surfer Dude.
