The ladies of Sex and the City are cashing in on the groundbreaking success of their big-screen movie.

Actress Kristin Davis announced Monday she will launch a clothing line with the department store Belk, joining co-star Sarah Jessica Parker in the design world. Parker’s clothing line, Bitten, was launched in 2007.

Davis’ collection will mimick the fashion of her Sex and the City character Charlotte. The ultra-feminine clothing and accessories will include intimates, footwear, handbags and jewelry.

Davis reveals to Women’s Wear Daily, “Charlotte dresses in a very feminine way, and I love her playful nature.”

The partnership with the Southern-based company was a natural choice for the South Carolina native, who adds, “I grew up shopping at Belk. It was the nicest store we had, and I’d save my allowance to go [there].”

The items, which will range in price from $38 to $240, will be available online, as well as in stores, starting this fall at belk.com.

Davis isn’t the only one with a plan outside of Sex. Kim Cattrall, who plays the sexually-charged Samantha, will star in another HBO comedy series set in New York.

She will play a middle-aged wife and mother who rediscovers her sexuality and begins to question her life choices.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the show will be an adaptation of the British series Sensitive Skin, which aired on BBC Two.

Sex and the City made history this weekend when it opened to a surprising $55.7 million opening, the highest debut in history for a film with a female lead. It was the fifth-highest opening ever for an R-rated movie.
