It’s been 18 months since first-time mom, Jessica Alba, gave birth to her daughter, Honor, but the scars and suffering are still very clear in the actresses’ mind.
“Pregnancy was the most incredible experience I’ve ever had,” Alba tells the February issue of Self magazine. “So I’ll take the stretch marks. I’ll take the sagging boobs. I’ll take the cellulite I can never get rid of.”
But the 28-year-old actress, who recently looked super-svelte at the People’s Choice Awards, doesn’t seem to mind her new flaws.
“If you walk around with your head held high and you’re happy and positive, then all that other stuff is irrelevant. Confidence is number one.”
But, on the rare occasion when Jessica needs to blow off a little steam, she says her little girl is the key to feeling better:
“Honor is the best cure for stress,” she tells the mag. “When I spend time with her, I get instant perspective. I can be hard on myself if I don’t do everything perfectly. But now that I have her, there’s no time for that. I want to teach her that you can learn from your mistakes, and if you keep moving and stay positive and loving, everything will work out.”
Jessica’s new romantic-comedy, Valentines Day, hits theaters Feb. 12.
