Jessica Simpson has tackled everything from shoes to perfume, and now the singer turned designer is gearing up for the launch of her latest project: lingerie.
Set to launch in New York City showrooms this week, Jess tells Women’s Wear Daily her line of lingerie, “reflects the way I’m feeling when I wake up and helps me set the tone for my day.”
Simpson, who was recently dumped by boyfriend Tony Romo, also confesses to the mag she thinks lingerie is one of the most important parts of a woman’s wardrobe.
“Lingerie is a special part of what you wear every day. It’s fun to pick different colors and styles. What you wear underneath your clothes helps define the outfit, whether T-shirt bras, push-up bras, different patterns and colors — you always have to choose what works best.”
So, what does the busty blonde prefer for her own undergarments?
“I like to be comfortable and feel good. I wear whatever my mood calls for,” she says.
Jess also dished that she is working on a new line of sleepwear that she plans to “live in.”
