Just when we thought there were enough celebrities jumping on the Twitter train, Joe Simpson has joined the fad.
In typical Papa Simpson style, he’s going all-out.
A recent National Enquirer story claims that Joe thinks his daughter Jessica’s boyfriend Tony Romo “has become too much of a distraction…. Rather than blaming his daughter’s work ethic, Joe points the finger at Tony.”
Big Joe took to Twitter to set the record straight.
“So tired of people saying I don’t like Jess and Tony… He is the best..” Joe said. “Don’t believe the National Enquirer!!!”
After all, it was Joe Simpson who introduced his daughter to the Cowboys quarterback back in ’06.
From the sound of things, Jess and Joe are still going strong. The country singer has consistently been giving shout-outs to her boy toy on her current tour with Rascal Flatts.
And Joe has reportedly stood by Jess in the face of mondo criticism about her recent weight gain.
There’s gonna be a new song for him..."
