Is she or isn’t she? The cover controversary heats up with rumors Kelly Clarkson’s new Self Magazine cover has been airbrushed!
“This is my third Self cover so ‘whoo!’”
No drama from this cover girl! The original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson takes you behind the scenes of her September cover shoot for Self magazine…
But it’s what happened from here to here that is causing major controversy.
Bloggers are buzzing that Kelly’s cover was photo-shopped to make her look slimmer.
Self’s Editor in Chief Lucy Danziger responded to “weight-gate” on her blog saying:
“Yes. Of course we do retouching (though it's technically not Photoshop, but that is semantics).”
“Did we alter her appearance? Only to make her look her personal best. Did we publish an act of fiction? No. Not unless you think all photos are that.”
Inside the mag, Kelly openly talks about her weight and how she stays balanced with a mix of chicken-fried steak, golf and cross-fit workouts.
Yep, you heard her, chicken-fried steak. But whatever you do, DON’T use the “D” word.
"When people talk about my weight, I'm like, 'You seem to have a problem with it; I don't. I'm fine!’”
Now that’s what you can call a real American Idol!
