Lady Gaga goes Lady Liberty for the new cover of V Magazine.
For the “New York Issue” of the fashion mag, Gaga goes patriotic (and half nude!) alongside designer, Marc Jacobs, to pose as one of the city’s most recognizable symbols.
Gaga’s signature locks were formed to look like the Statue of Liberty’s crown, and she’s even holding a burning torch!
“Just as the Statue of Liberty was France’s gift to America, Gaga is, to us, New York’s greatest gift to pop culture and fashion…she has become a bonafide genius and we can safely declare her our muse,” V editor Stephen Gan says of the pic.
The 24-year-old singer (whose real name is Stefani Germanotta,) was born and raised in the Big Apple.
