Leona Lewis is attacked by a deranged fan at a London book signing.
X-factor winner Leona Lewis was signing copies of “Dream,”her new autobiography at a London book store Wednesday when a guy came up to her and punched her on the side of her head
Witnesses told the BBC news that the singer had been signing for about 90 minutes when the attacker walked over to her with the book, and after she signed it, she looked up and “he just punched her.”
One report says the man had been waiting in line for about 5 hours.
After the attack, Lewis was rushed out of the store “with a hand over her eye” while security jumped the attacker, who was reportedly laughing.
The 24 year old “bleeding love” singer was not seriously hurt but her spokesperson issued a statement saying she was “badly shaken” . On Thursday Leona wrote on her website and thanked her fans. "thank you so much for your support it is truly overwhelming. Yesterday was a horrible shock and left me extremely hurt and upset. I’m very sorry to those i wasn’t able to meet at the signing.
