The L.A. county coroner has determined Michael Jackson died from lethal levels of the anesthetic, propofol, according to a search warrant affidavit that was unsealed today in Houston.
The warrant, obtained by the Los Angeles Times, shows that Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray, confirmed to the Los Angeles Police Department that he had been administering 50 milligrams of propofol to Jackson every night to treat insomnia.
Murray continued to tell LAPD detectives he feared Michael was forming an addiction to propfol, and was beginning to wean him off the powerful drug.
Court records show that on June 25–the day of Jackson’s death–Murray administered various sedatives, including a dose of propofol.
The official coroner’s report remains sealed, as this investigation is still ongoing.
