He had a force like wild fire, it’s safe to say he is the Elvis of these times. HE will be eternal in music and even people who are 20’s, we got the chance to see what Michael was about, we were fortunate enough to be the new generation to get see how great he is.
So sad, feel bad for his family, close friends and all those lifetime fans from his beginnings. Just a sad thing he did a lot of good, he just made some bad personal choices. His music is what will be eternal.

I completely agree with you. I’m 19 and I feel like my generation has seen him portrayed as a totally different person than my parents did. It’s so sad because he really did a lot of good things, and was an activist for a lot of different groups. It’s such a shame that he died so young, but to me he will ALWAYS be the King of Pop.

So you rather hear a singer , singing out of breath or would you rather watch him make a great show by demonstrating his other talents, The guy can sing, he’ sbeen singing live on TV since he was a kid, now its all aobut creating a great show for the audience. Sorry but if i want to see people Sing and thats it, i’ll go to an Opera concert. This guy was all about giving a great show , and sometimes he’d throw a live song, but its hard to sing and dance the way his music is created.

This was an absolutely amazing performance. Although Michael’s character was often somewhat in question, his music spoke volumes. His music was timeless. I just read some blog or column bashing this performance, saying it was lackluster, a disappointment. While it may not have been the best Super Bowl performance, it definitely wasn’t the worst, and I thought it was just fine, for a Super Bowl show. I’ve seen many of them and none really rocked my socks off. They’re far too short and restrictive. People really need to focus on more pressing things.

Wow, that was huge! I loved how the field was used wth the kids with those cards, and the banners of two hands shaking - was great.
Huge performance.
MJ danced his butt off - awesome.
I can’t remember a time I’ve heard him sing live though…. Don’t crucify me for that - I’m just curious to hear his live voice. This performance was definitely playback - can’t really expect him to be able to sing as well as dance with that much energy.

look, there’s no shame in it, of course the guy was a great singer, but this and most other superbowl concerts you will see are lip synched. the producers generally insist on it. this usually happens with dance-heavy routines especially — Brittany Spears, Madonna, etc. because you just can’t produce the top-40 quality stuff hen you’re trying to breathe from all the dancing at the same time. logical.
