Michael Phelps is shooting down rumors that he and Miss California Carrie Prejean are an item.
The Olympic champ tells Us Weekly,”I’m not dating anybody. I’m single. My private life stays private.”
As for Prejean, the blond beauty queen has been in the midst of a not-so-private controversy this week, after voicing her opposition to gay marriage during the Miss America pageant.
Prejean went on The Billy Bush Show this week and implied she and the Olympic champ were very, um, close.
“He is a great man,” she said. “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
