Miley Cyrus’ latest album “Breakout” opens at No.1 on the Billboard top 200 selling 371,000 copies this past week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Cyrus’ big sell falls second to Mariah Carey’s “E=MC2” (which debuted at 463,000) in weekly sales for female artists in 2008.
This is the 15-year-old Disney star’s third time coming in at No. 1.
Last July Cyrus opened strong selling 326,000 copies of the double album “Hannah Montana 2 /Meet Miley Cyrus.”
In 2006, her first week sales for the “Hannah Montana” soundtrack hit 281,000.
