Oprah Winfrey is getting a shout-out from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), who has named the talk-show queen their Person of the Year.
Oprah got the nod for using her TV show to spotlight cases of animal cruelty.
PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk says Winfrey has used her “powerful voice to defend those without one.”
